Functions of Troponin I Rapid Test Kit

A specific, rapid, and simple one-step method for the qualitative detection of cardiac calcium protein I (c Tn I) in human serum/plasma/whole blood established by immuno-colloidal gold chromatography can be used for auxiliary diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
CTnI is released into the bloodstream shortly after the onset of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), in a release pattern similar to that of creatine kinase isoenzyme (ck-mb), which is released 4-6 hours after the onset of acute myocardial infarction. However, the levels of ck-mb in the blood returns to normal after 36-48 hours after the onset of the disease, while the levels of cardiac troponin I remains high 6-10 days after the onset of the disease. Although troponin I is also found in skeletal muscles, cardiac troponin I has 31 additional amino acid residues at the n-terminal of the protein compared with troponin I, which is derived from skeletal muscle. Moreover, cardiac calcium I has not been detected in patients with the skeletal muscle injury. Therefore, these characteristics of cardiac troponin I are very convincing to make it a specific marker for the diagnosis of myocardial infarction. The average level of cardiac calcium protein I in the blood of normal people is below 0.06ng/ml, and the level of cardiac calcium protein I in the blood of some patients with acute myocardial infarction can be as high as 100-1300ng/ml.
